Arsenal: Fans want Unai Emery out before stars return from international duty

Arsenal go into the international break in sixth place, on level points with Sheffield United, and it’d be fair to say fans aren’t pleased with their position or their manager. They’re without a win in four league games, picking up just two points in that time, and the players will be hoping to regain their form playing for their countries.

The Gunners have the second-worst defence in the top half of the table, having conceded 17 so far this term compared to 10th-placed Burnley’s 18. According to WhoScored, the Gunners also have an average of 12.5 shots on goal per game, but just over a third of them hit the target, 4.4 per game.

Arsenal’s official Twitter account posted pictures of a few Gunners training with their respective national teams and tagged the stars seen out on the pitch with the caption “Checking in”. However, fans certainly weren’t in the mood for the club to change the subject away from the team’s woeful performances over the last few weeks. They rushed into the replies to express their annoyance that Unai Emery hadn’t been sacked before the players left London, and to demand that he’s removed before they return.
