Arsenal: Fans want to see Bayer Leverkusen’s Kai Havertz at the Emirates - Arsenal

Loads of Arsenal fans are hoping to see Bayer Leverkusen’s Kai Havertz switch BayArena for the Emirates in the near future.

The 20-year-old was in action yesterday for Peter Bosz’s side as they played out an exciting 4-3 encounter with Borussia Dortmund, prompting many supporters to start a discussion about the player. One fan suggested that Havertz would be the “perfect [Mesut] Ozil replacement” and, looking at the German’s statistics, it is not a terrible shout.

This season, Havertz has scored four goals, provided two assists and registered an average of 2.2 key passes per game in the Bundesliga (per WhoScored). The latter is roughly the same as Ozil’s average of 2.1, though the Arsenal playmaker is yet to score a goal and has only the sole assist to his name this term.

The above comes after a campaign where Havertz managed to score an impressive 17 goals from midfield and out wide in German football’s top division. Based on all of that, it comes as no surprise that so many Arsenal fans are desperate to see the Germany international at the Emirates.

Here is what they have had to say:

Arsenal fans, would Havertz be a good signing? Tell us what you think in the comment section below!
