Though yet another season started with so much optimism amongst the Arsenal supporters propping up the bar in the Transfer Tavern, it’s fair to say they’ve endured a difficult time of things in recent months.
Though the general feeling amongst our punters is that manager Arsene Wenger will stay on in charge of the club, not every Gunner in the bar is happy about that and reports emanating out of France today have only exacerbated the situation.
According to RMC, Paris Saint-Germain have opened discussions with superstar forward Alexis Sanchez over a potential summer move to the French capital, with the 28-year-old having just a year left on his deal.
As if that wasn’t bad enough, the report then goes on to claim Premier League rivals Chelsea are in discussions with the Chilean’s entourage, having been linked with a controversial move across the capital already this season.
Having seen the likes of Robin van Persie and Emmanuel Adebayor depart for Premier League rivals in years gone by, our north London locals are gutted by the mere idea of seeing him leave.
