Arsenal fans were wishing Kieran Tierney well after he revealed that his surgery for his dislocated shoulder went well.
Should Arsenal have let Nacho Monreal leave?
The left-back, signed this summer under Unai Emery, took to social media to update the north London faithful on his current situation as he revealed that his operation was done and that the soup was bad (Kieran Tierney via Gurjit).
Tierney underwent surgery after suffering a rather innocuous-looking injury in the 3-1 win over West Ham United just over a week ago.
However, it was revealed by The Athletic’s David Ornstein that the Scotland international was suffering from a long-standing shoulder problem prior to the game against the Hammers.
The Scotsman has suffered injury hell in the few months he has been at the club, featuring in just 12 of 26 games across the first-team and under-23s (via Transfermarkt).
Fans were over the moon at the update provided by the 22-year-old as they took to Twitter to wish him well amid strong links from the BBC with a move for Mikel Arteta as the club’s next manager.
Here is a selection of tweets from the Emirates Stadium faithful:
