Arsenal handed huge boost as top target looks to force through move

Gunners fans in the Football Transfer Tavern have not had too much to talk about over recent weeks as they have sat and watched whilst the other top Premier League sides announced some stellar signings.

However, that may be set to change as reports from the Mirror are claiming that one of Arsenal’s top summer targets, Alexandre Lacazette, has told current club Lyon he wants to leave.

Not only is it looking likely that the Frenchman is set for a move but reports from L’Equipe (via The Mirror) are suggesting that the 25-year-old would prefer any deal on the table to be finalised quickly as opposed to being involved in a Pogba-esque saga.

The forward, who has been valued at €60m by the French club, scored 21 goals in 34 Ligue 1 appearances last season and was deemed by many as exceedingly unlucky to miss out on a place in the French squad for the European Championships this summer.

Arsenal fans, we want to hear from you! Does Lacazette’s demand leave the door wide open for Wenger to make a move? Do you think he will take his opportunity? Let us know in the comments below…
