Arsenal in pole position to land £35m Euro 2016 star, Euro giants keen

If ever a player put himself in the shop window during an international tournament, it was France star Moussa Sissoko.

So often lamented by the Newcastle United fans in the Transfer Tavern for his lacklustre outings amid their dismal relegation, reports linking him with Arsenal and Liverpool had their fans wondering why they’d be interested in someone so overrated.

However, the 26-year old’s performance for Les Blues towards the latter stages of the tournament have sparked interest in the marauding midfielder.

According to Betway (sourced by the Daily Star), the Gunners are now favourites to land the former Toulouse man this summer, now the European Championships are done and dusted.

Liverpool and Borussia Dortmund are also understood to retain an interest in the engine room powerhouse.

Amazingly, the Chronicle have claimed the North East giants have slapped an incredible £35m price tag on the Frenchman despite their relegation to the Championship.

Rafa Benitez has constantly insisted he is under no pressure to sell his top stars as he plots the Toon’s return to the top tier.

How many TT pints would Arsenal need to pay £35m for Sissoko?
