The Gooners who frequent the Transfer Tavern so desperate to see a striker arrive in North London have met reports from Sky Italia (via the Daily Mirror) with shrugged shoulders.
Ironic really, considering the fact they so often lamented Arsene Wenger’s inactivity in the transfer market for a number of years, though links with another defender is simply not what they want to hear.
The 24-year old has impressed at the San Siro since joining the club from Granada in 2015, emerging as a formidable defender in Serie A.
Ahead of what could prove to be Le Prof’s last season in charge of the club, the 66-year old is believed to be keen on drafting in a defender within two weeks as his stars begin for pre-season preparations.
