Jamie Vardy’s snub of Arsenal has been one of the most talked about stories of the summer in the Transfer Tavern, with punters supporting other clubs not letting the Gunners forget it in much of a hurry.
However, it could be the latter who have the last laugh.
In search his search for more firepower, Arsene Wenger is – according to the Sun – speaking to BOTH Romelu Lukaku and Alexandre Lacazette.
With only Olivier Giroud and Theo Walcott available to call on in central striking berths, the Frenchman is in desperate need of a lethal marksman to mount a serious title tilt at long last.
Lacazette is understood to have been scouted a number of times, though the France star comes second to the Belgian in Wenger’s current thinking.
The 66-year old tactician is thought to want a new deal wrapped up before the club’s pre-season tour of the United States, ahead of what could be his last season with the club.
Will this be Wenger’s last season at Arsenal?
