Arsenal could certainly do with some quality additions in the summer if they are to build and improve upon this season's steady campaign.

And, if the latest reports are true, it appears the two men that they are looking at could provide Unai Emery with exactly what he needs.

Nicolo Schira, who is a journalist for La Gazzetta dello Sport, revealed on his Twitter account that the Gunners would be watching Sampdoria's match against Juventus with a close eye on two of the host's players.

Joachim Andersen and Dennis Praet were both name-dropped by the reported and the duo are certainly men that would get the crowd in the Emirates Stadium something to cheer about.

Taking a look at Andersen first, he is the exact type of defender that could thrive for Arsenal and be the man to finally help them stop the leaks from their leaky backline.

The Denmark Under-21 international has come on leaps and bounds this season and has been hugely impressive for Sampdoria in the Serie A this year.

Andersen is comfortable with the ball and appears to be able to make some excellent passes from out the back, which could help bring some fluidity to the way Emery's side play and help them become more of a dangerous outfit from another area of the pitch.

A lot has been said about Praet and Arsenal in the past, however, here is just a reminder of what fans would be able to expect from the talented Belgian if he were to join them at the Emirates Stadium this summer.

The 24-year-old is a box-to-box midfielder who is able to play in a number of different roles centrally, whether that be deep or further forward and would provide the Gunners with some extremely valuable options, whilst he could fit straight alongside Lucas Torreira because of their days together at Sampdoria.

Praet, who is valued at £22.5million by Transfermarkt, is very confident on the ball, as he can dribble past his opponents with ease, whilst he also has the ability to pick out a pass anywhere on the pitch and put his team-mates in great goalscoring opportunities. Defensively, the Belgian is not shy of putting in tackles and is rather successful when doing so as he can break up the play before it reaches his own side’s defence.

Imagine if Praet, Torreira and Andersen all teamed up in north London! Arsenal and Emery would be in dreamland!
