The bar here in the Football Transfer Tavern has been busy over the last couple of days but there has been little sign of Arsenal fans, hiding their embarrassment over a lack of movement in the transfer market, but that may be about to change.
The main focus of the recent reports regarding Arsenal have been regarding the Gunners’ chase for a new centre-half, however, reports from the continent that have reached us here are claiming that a move for an attacking midfielder may be on the cards.
According to reports from Gazzetta World, Arsene Wenger is considering a move for former Arsenal youngster, Oguzhan Ozyakup, who left The Emirates in 2012 to join Turkish side, Besiktas.
The Turkish international joined the youth ranks in North London in 2008 and made just 2 appearances for the first team before his move to the Turkish outfit.
The 23-year-old has also been the subject of interest from European giants, AC Milan and Borussia Dortmund but the Gooners will be confident that given the history they will have an edge in the dealings.
Gunners fans, we want to hear from you! What do you remember of Ozyakup? Would you like to see him back at The Emirates? Let us know below…
