Arsenal patrons in the Transfer Tavern are fretting ahead of a summer transfer window that could witness drastic change at the Emirates Stadium.
With his contract due to expire this summer, Arsene Wenger’s future beyond the end of the season remains uncertain, whilst talismanic duo Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil are also yet to commit themselves to the club – both of their deals expire in 2018.
Likewise, Jack Wilshere’s fate is equally uncertain. When his season-long loan at Bournemouth comes to an end in May, the injury-stricken midfielder will have just one year remaining on his Gunners contract, making this summer a real crossroads in his career according to Arsenal punters in the Tavern.
According to The Daily Mail, the England international is keen to join AC Milan – who he was interested in signing for last summer after being recommended the move by Manchester United icon David Beckham.
Wilshere is said to still be keen on the idea of moving to the San Siro, where Beckham spent two loan spells during his stint at LA Galaxy, and is also aware of the fine form Joe Hart has enjoyed since signing for Torino in a temporary deal last summer.
Fellow Serie A outfit Roma are also reportedly keen, however, alongside Portuguese giants Benfica and Premier League sides Crystal Palace and Watford.
