Arsenal manager speculation rumbles on as leading name appears to have decision made

Our Arsenal fans here in the Transfer Tavern just want to see their side challenge properly for the league title but, as per The Sun, it looks like they won’t be doing so anytime soon with Thomas Tuchel in charge.

The Gunners have had another woeful time of it in the title race as they look yet again set to have to settle with a place in the top four.

Even that, though, is not a certainly and our landlord – like many of our local Gunners – thinks it could be time for Arsene Wenger to walk away from the club.

Who replaces him, though, is anyone’s guess even with one less name about with Tuchel seemingly out of the race.

The Borussia Dortmund boss has the unenviable task of trying to dislodge Bayern Munich from the top of the tree in Germany – something he has failed to do thus far.

But, despite that, he looks to be going nowhere with Dortmund CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke saying:

“It is a fact that nobody from Arsenal called us. We’re taking about completely fictional stuff here.”

Pretty conclusive stuff from Watzke, then, and our landlord reckons that the Gunners should be looking at someone like Max Allegri instead anyway.
