Arsenal must seriously consider signing Breel Embolo in January - Arsenal

Arsenal are a club who look to be on the rise under Unai Emery, having made a strong start to life in the Premier League and the Europa League alike.

After a challenging start playing the likes of Man City and Chelsea, Arsenal have since held their own and overcome the so-called “smaller” Premier League teams to build their confidence and points tally.

Arsenal remain a team full of quality players and Unai Emery has managed to bring the best out of some, which all shapes up towards a successful season of some sorts this season for the Gunners.

However, in comparison to other top teams around them, Arsenal could do with making improvements to their team and one of those additions could be Schalke’s Breel Embolo during the January transfer window.

Embolo, (who is valued at £16.2 million on Transfermarkt) is a player of immense potential and is currently enjoying a great personal season in the Bundesliga with Schalke.

Having helped them reached 2nd place and the Champions League group-stages last season, Embolo has continued to be an influential player for Schalke by bagging two important goals and an assist in five appearances so far.

The 21-year-old is extremely versatile and likes to use his pace to exploit and get behind opposition defenders.

Arsenal obviously already have strong forwards but with the amount of games they have ahead of them this season in the league, cups and Europa League, Breel Embolo would be a fresh air of quality and a player useable in many different scenarios.

The Gunners could be on the verge of something good under Unai Emery but they need to continue improving in the transfer market to get back to the peak of English football.
