The early ambition shown by Arsene Wenger and Arsenal in the transfer market is certainly refreshing for the punters in the Transfer Tavern, who had previously watched the Gunners remain almost entirely dormant.
Having already signed Granit Xhaka in a huge money deal, the North London giants are widely expected to ramp up attempts to land a marquee striker following Jamie Vardy’s snub of the club.
One of the names linked is that of Real Madrid forward, Alvaro Morata.
The 23-year old has only just returned to the Spanish capital after a two-year stint with Juventus, though Los Blancos are said to be ready to sell already at a much higher profit.
Chelsea have also been linked with a move for the La Roja ace, after an impressive couple of seasons with the Old Lady saw him develop into one of Europe’s top strikers.
Would Morata win Arsenal the league?
