The Arsenal fans in the Transfer Tavern have been met with some truly surprising news today as they read shocking reports from the Daily Telegraph.
Our north London locals cannot seem to believe they’re reading claims from the paper that top brass at the Emirates are genuinely considering selling Mesut Ozil next summer.
The Gunners will reportedly be open to any potential offers for the World Cup winner if he doesn’t lower his wage demands over the next few months.
Both he and Alexis Sanchez have 18 months to run on their deals with the club and the German is believed to be considered more expendable than his Chilean teammate.
Ozil is one of the most popular players within the Tavern, despite some initial struggles when he first arrived from Real Madrid in 2013.
Since, he’s once again established himself as one of the best No.10s in the world and proved worthy of the £42m fee Arsenal paid for him.
Are Arsenal right not to be held to ransom by their star duo? Let us know below..
