Arsenal ramping up attempts to land elusive fourth title, club close in on stunning £25m attacker deal (not Vardy)

Henrikh Mkhitaryan

Good heavens. The Arsenal fans in the Transfer Tavern simply can’t stop dancing on the pool tables right now, as Arsene Wenger continues to thrill in the market.

According to the Sun, the Gunners chief is closing in on a deal to bring Borussia Dortmund midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan to North London in the coming weeks.

The 27-year old has rejected fresh terms at Signal Iduna Park, with just a year left on his current deal forcing the hand of the Bundesliga giants.

With Granit Xhaka already through the door and Jamie Vardy reportedly on his way, the Frenchman is seemingly ramping up attempts to secure a fourth Premier League title at long last.

A £25m bid is said to have been considered by decision makers at the Emirates Stadium, for one of the most devastating attackers in continental football.

Spurs and Chelsea are also believed to retain an interest in the 21 goal star, though bitter rivals Arsenal are understood to be in the ascendency.

Do you get the feeling this could be Wenger’s last season in charge?
