For once, the Arsenal fans propping up the bar in the Transfer Tavern have been delighted at Arsene Wenger’s work in the market during the halfway point of what could be his final campaign.
Though the Gunners never did get to welcome the top class striker they so desperately craved, the arrivals of Shkodran Mustafi and Granit Xhaka have seemingly bolstered the ranks, much to the delight of our north London locals.
Another of those arrivals was promising young defender Rob Holding, who moved to the Emirates from Bolton Wanderers.
While the England U21 international is clearly one for the future, he’s proved impressive during his brief outings in red so far.
So, reports from ESPN have given the Arsenal fans further reason to smile this evening.
They claim the club are ready to step up their interest in another burgeoning defensive talent, in the shape of Hull City’s Josh Tymon.
