While Arsenal fans in the Transfer Tavern drown their sorrows in the wake of yet another march to the title falling flat, some of the more optimistic lot have already turned their attentions towards next season.
Opinions have been split within our lively tavern following reports from the Daily Mail that the Gunners could be set for a major summer clear out in regards to some of the British talent plying their trade in North London.
It is claimed that there is a growing feeling within camp that the club would be willing to sell the likes of Aaron Ramsey, Theo Walcott, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Kieran Gibbs, Calum Chambers and Carl Jenkinson.
Despite starting the season as the club’s first-choice striker, former Southampton prodigy Theo Walcott has found himself relegated to the bench for large parts of the season following the emergence of Alex Iwobi.
As a result, he has been linked with a move across the capital to West Ham United over the course of the summer.
It is is a similar story for Oxlade-Chamberlain, who many believe has failed to develop since own move from the South Coast and has been linked to a number of Premier League clubs.
Meanwhile, though Ramsey is widely regarded as one of the club’s best players, his long-term future at the club reportedly remains uncertain.
Ready for these lot to leave, Arsenal fans? Or is there still room for Ramsey at least?
