The Arsene Wenger debate continually rages on amongst our punters here in the Transfer Tavern, with the Frenchman remaining as divisive as ever in his role as Arsenal manager.
Though our north London locals reserve a monumental amount of respect for Le Prof, the nature of their collapse this season has seen perhaps the most doubt cast over his future ever seen. Whether he leaves or not is a major topic of debate amongst our drinkers, so reports from the Daily Mirror have served up more food for thought.
They claim that, while the 67-year-old reportedly snubbed a lucrative move to China, there remains serious doubt amongst top brass at the Emirates Stadium over his future going past this summer. With that in mind, they are said to have already started making discreet enquiries about his successor.
Thomas Tuchel is believed to be the leading candidate, though he is enduring a mixed campaign at Borussia Dortmund right now. Just who replaces Wenger eventually remains to be seen, though the Gunners in the bar are merely hopeful his future is resolved quickly.
