Arsenal reportedly keen on 23-year-old contracted to one of their biggest rivals

Arsenal fans in the Transfer Tavern are looking ahead to their second-leg clash with CSKA Moscow in the Europa League as they look to book their place in the semi-finals of the tournament.

A number of locals are expecting their side to make a number of changes in the summer regardless of whether they are successful in the European competition, however, the latest rumours regarding a potential transfer could be confusing for some.

According to ESPN FC, the Gunners are interested in Chelsea winger Kenedy, although they will have to compete with a number of big names to sign him. The likes of Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain are all thought to have been impressed by the Brazilian’s performances for Newcastle United.

The winger, who has found his time at Stamford Bridge largely difficult as he battled his way for a starting spot, has been one of the Magpies’ standouts and his displays have helped Rafa Benitez’s side improve their form in the last few months.

It is believed he could be shifted from Chelsea at the end of the season, however, with a possible change of manager happening at the Blues, it would remain to be seen if he can leave the club should a successor be appointed.

Although our resident Gooners have a lot of attacking players to be proud of right now, Kenedy’s recent outings up on Tyneside have excited them and they’d love to see them swoop on Chelsea, one of their biggest rivals.

Landlord’s Verdict

Arsenal fans in the Tavern will be watching the 22-year-old with interest to see what he can do for Newcastle as his loan spell runs out with the club. Should he perform as consistently well as he has been for the Magpies, the locals will want the Emirates chiefs to make a deal happen as quickly as possible.
