With punters in the Transfer Tavern frantically scouring the net for rumours and reports on Deadline Day, many of the Arsenal supporting-punters are cutting ridiculously relaxed figures this afternoon.
In fact, much of the talk amongst our local Gunners simply surrounds their game with Watford tonight as they look to keep up whatever faint title aspirations Arsene Wenger’s side still harbour. Still, reports from the Independent today have at least varied up the chat a little bit.
According to an exclusive there, top brass at the Emirates are weighing up a move for Barcelona youth coach Pep Segura as they reportedly plan a reconstruction of their academy department. One of the most highly respected coaches at his level in the European game, the 56-year-old has previously worked for Liverpool as their Technical Manager.
However, those in north London are believed to have identified him as a potential candidate to improve their burgeoning talents, having suffered disappointing results on that front of late. As you can well imagine, the Arsenal fans in the bar are excited about his potential arrival, considering his work with the infamous La Masia academy in Barcelona.
