Our regular Gunners fans haven’t turned up at the Football Transfer Tavern this evening – wonder why – however there were a small group here to have yet more misery piled on them.
According to reports from Italian outlet, Calico Mercarto, Watford have tabled a €20m (around £17m) bid for Juventus midfielder, Mario Lemina.
The 22-year-old was also the subject of interest from Arsenal earlier this summer, who reportedly offered the Old Lady, €16m (£14m) for the midfielder.
However, both London clubs will also face competition from German giants, Schalke, who are monitoring the situation, but are yet to formalise their interest with a bid.
Our Landlord, to the dismay of the Gooners in the bar, has pointed out that this could represent yet another failing for the North London side this summer, having already been snubbed by Jamie Vardy, missing out on Gonzalo Higuain and seemingly losing out on a deal for Riyad Mahrez.
