Fear mounts within the Arsenal ranks of the Transfer Tavern this evening following reports from Football Insider that THREE of their first-team stars could be set for a move to Manchester City.
They claim that City have target Aaron Ramsey and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain for a sensational summer transfer raid on the Gunners as Pep Guardiola touches down at the Etihad.
The Spanish coach is also thought to have lined up long time friend Mikel Arteta as a potential member of his coaching staff, with the 34-year old said to be close to retiring.
The notion of Arsenal selling some of their top British talent in a massive summer overhaul was reported in the Daily Mail of the last couple of days, with both Ramsey and ‘the Ox’ touted as potential victims to a cull.
The latter, an England international, has been linked with a move to former club Southampton after failing to develop as expected during his half a decade in North London.
While Welsh star Ramsey is widely considered one of the best players at the club, there has reportedly been a move for Swiss ace Granit Xhaka, opening up the possibility of seeing the Welshman depart.
The 25-year old emerged as a top star in the 2013/14 season, though has failed to hit those heights on as regular a basis ever since.
City are thought to be keen on adding both to their ranks in an effort to increase their home grown quota.
Can you see Ramsey working under Guardiola? Would Arsenal be right to sell the dynamic Welshman?
