While Arsene Wenger is truly a divisive figure in every sense of the word, the Gunners propping up the bar in the Transfer Tavern have been shocked at reports from the Sun.
Last season, tempers flared perhaps more than ever as a growing part of the Emirates faithful voiced their discontent of life under Le Prof’s stewardship.
Granted, it wasn’t as if the 66-year old had truly lost all support, though perhaps the naysayers should be careful what they wish for.
According to the report, the Frenchman has refused to rule out a shock move to England upon the expiration of his deal in North London.
Entering his final 12 months, he told French media during his coverage as a pundit for the EURO 2016 final that he WOULD consider taking over the Three Lions.
Touted as a shock successor to Roy Hodgson, Wenger has revealed his willingness to consider taking over a side that constantly disappoints.
….Leaving a side that does exactly the same.
“I would never rule that out, but I am happy and focused in club football.
“I have one more year to go with Arsenal and I have been with them for a long time.
“I have always respected all my contacts [throughout my career] and will continue to do that.
“What will I do after that? Honestly, I don’t know.”
Arsenal fans, would you be gutted to lose Wenger?
