While the Arsenal fans in the Transfer Tavern are eagerly awaiting the prospect of some big money arrivals to the Emirates Stadium, Arsene Wenger is hard at work in the market.
Except, the 66-year old is seemingly selling players rather than buying them.
According to reports in Turkey (via the Daily Star) the North London giants have accepted a bid from Galatasaray for outcast defender Mathieu Debuchy.
The Frenchman was a big money arrival in 2014 from Newcastle United, though saw a dislocated shoulder picked up early in his Emirates career cost him his place.
Since the emergence of Hector Bellerin, the former Lille ace has found playing time limited, spending the second half of last season on loan at Bordeaux.
Still, further injuries saw his playing time limited with Les Girondins.
The 31-year old is now expected to travel to Istanbul in order to discuss personal terms with the Turkish giants ahead of his move away from North London.
Should Debuchy be kept on as cover? Let us know below…
