Arsenal: Selling Sead Kolasinac might not be a bad idea

Sead Kolasinac continues to blow hot and cold for Arsenal. You just do not know what version of the Bosnian you’re going to get when he takes to the field.

The 25-year-old has the ability to put in an outstanding performance for the Gunners from time to time, however, he also puts in some real stinkers – including the one against Chelsea in the Europa League final.

Despite his poor performances, it does not appear to have detracted any of the alleged interest in him, with his former club Schalke 04 and David Wagner keen on bringing him back after leaving them two-years ago for nothing (Bild).

And, Arsenal must seriously consider cashing in on their £18million-rated (Transfermarkt) man if an offer does come in from the Bundesliga outfit.

Kolasinac does not appear to be at the level that is required in Unai Emery’s side and does not look to be up to the task at the Emirates Stadium.

The Bosnia international has plenty of good traits – his work-rate and strength are to be admired at times, however, he lacks real quality when it matters and defensively can be exploited. Just ask Maurizio Sarri and Chelsea.

Emery has plenty of areas of his Arsenal squad that he needs to improve, although he is expected to have a rather limited transfer budget and it remains to be seen how many players of real quality the Gunners will be able to bring in through the front door.

But, if the club were to receive an offer for the 25-year-old, then they should consider it very carefully and potentially look to cash in on the player in order to raise funds for better individuals.

Schalke would already know what they are getting in Kolasinac, whilst Wagner would have seen him in action during his time in the Premier League as the Huddersfield Town boss – so maybe they have seen something in him that will fit in the Bundesliga – but English football does not appear to suit his style.

Arsenal fans, what do you think the club should do? Would you look to cash in on Kolasinac this summer or do you think he needs to be at the Emirates Stadium next season? Let us know your thoughts below!
