Rather predictably, the Arsenal fans in the Transfer Tavern are already forced to drown their sorrows after perhaps Arsene Wenger’s worst summer.
Still to add either a defender or a striker of the calibre required, the Gunners propping up the bar have been greeted to a transfer tidbit at long last.
Only it’s to do with a player leaving the Emirates.
According to ESPN, Hertha Berlin are aiming to take German winger Serge Gnabry on loan this summer, after failing to make the grade with the Premier League giants.
Currently on Olympic duty in Rio, the 21-year old endured a miserable loan spell at West Bromwich Albion last season, unable to feature much at all under Tony Pulis.
However, those in the German capital have confirmed their interest in the midfielder, with it hugely unlikely he will be able to force his way into Arsene Wenger’s first-team plans.
Has Gnabry got a future at Arsenal? Let us know below…
