Arsenal set for meeting over international winger only a day after Kolasinac signing

While it was a disappointing campaign for the Arsenal fans in the Transfer Tavern, they’re ready to dream again this summer.

Amid talk of a sensational bid for Monaco star Kylian Mbappe, the Gunners propping up the bar were delighted to welcome Schalke star Sead Kolasinac on a free transfer yesterday and many are hopeful this sort of pro-active work continues over the next few months.

Indeed, reports from ESPN have gone down a storm today. They claim top brass at the Emirates are set to hold talks with Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain’s representatives this week, in an attempt to secure the England international’s future.

The England international is out of contract in 12 months and has recently been linked with a potential move to Liverpool, much to the chagrin of our resident Gooners.

So, the fact a meeting between the two parties are reportedly heading for a meeting this week has been met with a round of applause amongst the Arsenal fans in today. Dick Law – the club’s chief transfer negotiator – is understood to be personally overseeing the negotiations.

Over the last few months, ‘The Ox’ has particularly impressed. While many believe he’s yet to truly fulfil his potential, his performances as a right-wing back have been celebrated and he played a huge part in winning Arsenal the FA Cup.
