Arsenal set January plans as Wenger assesses squad for title tilt

Luckily for the Arsenal fans in the Transfer Tavern, the Gunners are going through some good results right now as they look to keep up with Chelsea at the top of the league.

We say that because, according to the Daily Telegraph, the north London giants are not planning on making ANY January signings to improve their first-team.

For the Emirates faithful propping up the bar, these are annoying reports as they hoped Arsene Wenger would splash the cash in the New Year.

Still, top brass at the club are not thought to be actively looking for any signings and will only do so if Le Prof is hit by an unwelcome injury crisis.

Despite an injury to Santi Cazorla, Wenger is believed to happy with his squad and feels his attacking department will also receive a boost as Danny Welbeck edges closer to a return in 2017.

The report also claims the club could look to strengthen their left-back department next summer, with the long-term future of Kieran Gibbs understood to be in doubt.

He lost his place to Nacho Monreal last season and has been unable to reclaim it ever since, also seeing his inclusion in England squads limited of late.
