Arsenal will definitely be hoping that the second half of the season holds excitement and success, as they’ve struggled to reach their full potential in recent times.
The Gunners currently find themselves behind Chelsea in the race for the Premier League title, with Manchester United also creeping up from behind.
Of course, the North London side did manage to strengthen massively back in the summer transfer window, with arguably their best signing coming in the form of Lucas Torriera, as he made the £26.5 million switch from Italy.
It’s safe to say that the Uruguayan international has already repaid the Gunners for the summer fee as his performances have been world-class this season. He has helped solidify the midfield areas for Arsenal and is currently one of the best midfielders in the Premier League.
Many supporters may already be on the look out for Unai Emery’s next major transfer move at the Emirates. And, it appears as if the Gunners have been keeping an eye out over the past month, as the Independent released a report stating that Arsenal were going to investigate the possibility of a swap deal involving Mesut Ozil and Isco.
Interestingly, the Real Madrid attacking midfielder replaced Ozil back in 2013 as the German ended up moving to the Emirates after feeling he did not have the faith of Carlo Ancelotti or the Madrid hierarchy.
Sadly, Isco hasn’t been able to enjoy regular minutes under Santiago Solari at Real Madrid, so his future is currently surrounded with doubt.
The Spaniard is a special talent who has the ability to unlock any defence on his day, with his incredible eye for a pass and the ability to find the back of the net from distance.
This would be an unbelievable move if Arsenal manage to pull it off as they’ll secure themselves one of the world’s best attackers, and they won’t have to worry about Mesut Ozil’s inconsistencies anymore. Plus, with Isco’s creativity at Emery’s disposal, the likes of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette would have a field day.
Indeed, Isco has even already replaced Ozil, moving to the Spanish capital from Malaga in the same transfer window as the German’s move to Arsenal in the first place, so it could be an excellent move all around.
