Indeed, after eight years of service for the north London club the now 27-year-old right-back looks set to end his tenure at Arsenal as Daniel Taylor from the Guardian reports that Championship side Nottingham Forest are in talks with the Gunners for a permanent deal for Jenkinson.
Having been at the club for so long, many Arsenal fans were taken back by the surprise transfer update, and many took to social media to celebrate the news of the potential departure of the right-back.
