It’s not always the happiest time of year for the Arsenal fans in the Transfer Tavern, who can usually be found lamenting a certain Mr Wenger.
However, recent days have seen the club close in on a huge double deal, much to the delight of the Gunners in the Tavern.
Now, according to Sky Sports, the North London giants could be set for further activity late on in the window.
England international midfielder Jack Wilshere will reportedly be made available for loan after seeing the likes of Granit Xhaka, Francis Coquelin, Santi Cazorla and Mohammed Elneny flourish in the engine room.
The Emirates faithful in this evening have been delighted to hear Le Prof is finally taking decisive action over the pass master after so many years of just accepting his injuries.
While clearly a hugely talented individual, the 24-year-old has struggled with injuries over the course of his career.
In fact, thanks to WhoScored, his persistent ailments have restricted him to just 22 club appearances over the last two seasons, while he picked up another injury during pre-season.
A controversial inclusion in Roy Hodgson’s Euro 2016 squad, it is believed Wenger is prepared to allow him a season of first-team football elsewhere.
During his career, Wilshere has demonstrated moments of brilliance, though his fitness record has always destabilised any momentum since he was a teenager.
Though he has often proved to be a source of frustration, he will always be looked upon fondly by our North London locals for this stunning effort against Norwich City.
Could this prove to be a masterstroke by Wenger? Let us know below…
