Arsenal to seal defender deal imminently, bid accepted

While Arsenal fans in the Transfer Tavern wait with baited breath as to whether or not Arsene Wenger will finally add a striker to his ranks, they are excited to welcome a new signing none the less.

Though he’s barely Gonzalo Higuain or Julian Draxler, the Gunners are thought to be closing in on Bolton Wanderers defender Rob Holding.

Noted journalist Ian Abrahams claims the England under-21 international has been the subject of a £2m bid from the North London giants, one that has been accepted by the Trotters.

Despite their relegation into League One last term, the defender was one of few to come out of the dreadful campaign with his stock in tact.

He won the club’s Player of the Year last season and was part of the England under-21 squad that won the Toulon Tournament, alongside Arsenal defender Calum Chambers.
