Arsenal transfer plans changing as window approaches final weeks

Our Arsenal fans here in the Transfer Tavern are looking forward to the new season beginning with them coming into it in fairly high-spirits.

Of course, the Gunners have no Champions League football to look forward to but they have managed to sign Alexandre Lacazette and Alexis Sanchez is still at the club so all is not lost.

Indeed, after beating Chelsea in the Community Shield they feel that they are good enough to beat anyone on their day and so the hope is that the Premier League title is a possibility this season.

For sure, many Gunners would like to see some more players arrive before the end of the window and, according to UOL Esporte, the men from north London are targeting Lucas Moura – ahead of Thomas Lemar now.

The men from north London seemingly have failed in trying to get the Monaco man in but it appears that they still want a winger and so it remains to be seen if they can get the PSG man in.

Indeed, with the French side signing Neymar, Moura might just become available.

Landlord’s Verdict

Of the two, the consensus in the bar is that Arsenal should still try and sign Lemar. Lucas Moura is a top player but he doesn’t have as many years at the top left as Lemar does.

The French star is really starting to come onto the big stage and if Arsenal could get him they’d have him for a decade more than likely.
