Arsenal turn attentions to lethal Chelsea target following England man’s snub

Jamie Vardy’s rather anonymous performance for England last night helped the Arsenal fans in the Transfer Tavern at least partly get over the fact their move for the Leicester City ace looks like breaking down.

Now, according to reports from TMW.comthe Gunners could receive further good news as they switch their striking attention elsewhere in the Premier League.

It is claimed that the North London giants are ready to enter the race for Everton forward Romelu Lukaku this summer, who enjoyed a fine season personally despite the wider struggles of the Merseyside outfit.

The Belgian marksman notched an impressive 25 goals for the Toffees last term, earning himself £65m links with former club Chelsea.

Upon the arrival of new manager Ronald Koeman at Goodison Park, the 22-year old is understood to have been offered a new deal by the club.

However, Arsene Wenger is believed to have identified the former Anderlecht prodigy as a top target as he plots to introduce more firepower to his ranks at the Emirates Stadium.

Can Lukaku finally emulate Drogba at long last? Is he really worth £65m?
