It was a result that the club needed, and yet the day after its still amazing Arsenal actually managed to do it.

The Gunners 1-0 win away from home against Watford was a result not many Arsenal fans would have expected heading into the match, but in a game where Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scored one of the luckiest goals of the season and Troy Deeney only took 11 minutes to get sent off in, it was a performance that the club needed desperately.

Arsenal’s away form has been notable for all the wrong reasons this season, but last night’s display was a sign that Unai Emery has finally learnt from games of the past what to do in these types of matches, and this is something the club needs to improve on.

The win against Watford could be a turning point for the Gunners, who now have not only put themselves in a great position to finish in the top four but have now shown they have the quality and mentality to win away from home and keep a clean sheet.

Building on this result is the way forward for the club, who you could argue if Arsenal were able to win and keep clean sheets on the road they would be contenders for the Premier League title, and the Gunners can take their fortunes on the road to the next level if they can get something in Naples this Thursday.

Playing against Napoli in Italy is a big step up from playing at Vicarage Road, but if Arsenal can dig deep, they can get a landmark result over Carlo Ancelotti’s side and yet again take a big step forward in improving their away form.

Arsenal fans, how big was the result over Watford? Let us know!
