Our Arsenal fans here in the Transfer Tavern are ecstatic over the winter window signings Arsene Wenger has managed to pull off.
Whilst speculation was rife over two potential outgoings at the Emirates this window in Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil, Wenger had a lot of pressure to come out of January with a fighting chance of regaining Champions League football.
Our regulars in the bar believe that Wenger has pulled off a couple of masterstrokes in swapping Sanchez for Henrikh Mkhitaryan and bringing in Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang on deadline day, which coincidently reunited to of the most exciting Borussia Dortmund attackers in recent history.
Following their arrivals at the Emirates, Wenger and his men will surely have enough firepower to make the top four.
Although many believe that Arsenal are dire need of a defensive midfielder, the two attacking players can revolutionise the Gunner’s forward line and, judging by their performances against Everton, our north London locals can expect a whole lot of fun going forward.
With that in mind, our landlord takes a look at the two players in questions and sees how they can help Arsenal get among the best in Europe again next season…
