Arsenal would do well to strike a deal for £16.2m-rated French midfielder – agreed?

The Arsenal fans inside the Transfer Tavern are really hoping for a big spending summer with some new, quality faces arriving at the Emirates.

A new manager will be arriving this summer for the first time in 22 years, something Arsenal fans have to come to terms with. Whether this new, glamorous manager is capable of revamping the Arsenal side to turn them back into top four candidates is unbeknown to everyone but time will soon reveal.

Whoever is brought in needs to be backed with sufficient funds to make a difference to the Arsenal team and one player our punters think the Gunners should look at is Morgan Sanson, who is valued at £16.2 million by Transfer Markt.

The Marseille man has made over 50 appearances for the French side so far this season, scoring 11 goals during those games. Sanson is versatile and can be used as a defensive or box-to-box midfielder but you would mainly see him in an attacking role, putting pressure on the oppositions defensive line.

Arsenal already have an array of attacking talent to pick from for matches but adding Morgan Sanson into the mix as well would only cause bigger problems for the opposition and the competition for places in the squad would be healthy.

Not to mention, a lack of quality depth throughout each facet of the midfield would allow him to fit in where required depending on the needs of the team.

Landlords Verdict:

Arsenal have enjoyed a lot of success when buying French players over the years and our punters see no reason that Sanson couldn’t be another glistening example of that.

With his dribbling and passing ability, Sanson already appears to have the skills and qualities desired to be an Arsenal player.
