So Arsenal continue to be linked with anybody on the move as they look to fill in the gaping holes that prove time after time to cost them dearly.
Well the latest culprit is Paris St. Germain’s centre back Mamandou Sakho. The 6ft 2” beast at the back is only 21 and his impressive form gave him the opportunity to take charge of his clubs captain’s armband due to Claude Makelele’s unavailability during the Europa League this season.
He has shined during this year’s Ligue1 campaign and has picked up UNFP Ligue 1 Young Player of the Year award and also earned the right to be a part of the UNFP Ligue 1 Team of the Year.
Sakho has represented the French national side at every level from U’16’s up and now he has a handful of caps under his belt for the seniors it looks certain he will be a big player for his country during the future.
The player certainly hits the nail on the head when you debate what Arsenal are lacking, a powerful centre back who is also a leader on the pitch.
A host of premiership clubs are interested in bringing the hot prospect to England but it is believed Arsenal are leading the chase with the French connection at the club. Mirrorfootball has reported it will cost Wenger £10 million to land the youngster who has spent his career in the French capital.
