With Arsenal looking to end the 2020/2021 season out of the top four, having been a mid-table side for a greater part of the campaign, manager Mikel Arteta has been told to spend money on new signings this summer to help place him in the right frame to challenge for the League title next season.
The North London side sits tenth in the Premier League table, as many as 30 points adrift runaway leaders Manchester City.
Spanish tactician Arteta has a huge task on his hands to fortify his team and make them become a competitive side again; with former club manager George Graham insisting cash must be splashed.
Graham in an interview told Arsenal owner, Stan Kroenke needed to help Arteta spend £300million on quality new players.
In his words: “Arsenal have outstanding young players, but they need help. Quality players around them to show them the way. They need to go out and buy two or three players, each costing £75million to £100million.”
Three necessary signings have however been identified ahead of the summer window. These trio, Mikel Arteta must sign in the summer if he’s handed a transfer few of £300million by the Arsenal owner.
The Gunners have truly lacked a creative midfielder this season, so bringing in a Creative midfielder in Jack Grealish makes a lot of sense, and BoyleSports might just be including this section for the fans to make their predictions ahead of a potential transfer.
Houssem Aouar was strongly linked with a transfer during the last summer window, but Arsenal instead signed defensive-minded player Thomas Partey from La Liga side Atletico Madrid for £45million.
The omission and subsequent departure of World Cup winner Mesut Ozil indeed left a massive hole for a creative player in the middle of the squad and one player who has been linked to the Emirates consistently has been Grealish, following another superb campaign with Aston Villa.
Grealish is undoubtedly Villa’s best player and he is highly likely to become a Three Lions regular under boss Gareth Southgate also.
Jack, who has scored six goals and created 10 assists so far this term, is valued at about £100million by his club and would be a fantastic acquisition for Mikel Arteta’s team.
The North Londoners will certainly be looking to reinforce their backline this coming summer window and head coach Mikel Arteta has penned down the full-back position for strengthening.
The future of Hector Bellerin has been up for discussion for a while, with Spanish giants FC Barcelona interested in landing the Spanish full-back.
Right-back Achraf Hakimi is a footballer who has been tipped to move to Emirates, following a great campaign with Inter Milan. The utility defender can play both right-backs, and left-back too. His addition would add competition for defender Kieran Tierney.
The Arsenal target has scored six goals and made four assists so far this term and is valued at about £97.6million.
With club number 9, Alexandre Lacazette tipped with a transfer away from the club and youngster Eddie Nketiah not yet trusted, club skipper Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang could be the only first-team forward in the squad next season.
And given the manager’s penchant for moving Aubameyang out wide left, there is a need to bring in a new striker.
A summer move for a player like Everton’s Dominic Calvert-Lewin would make a lot of sense, having impressed under Carlo Ancelotti this term, with 18 goals in 31 matches for Everton.
