The capital counterparts play each other in Beijing today and the Premier League champions are understood to want talks within 48 hours of Arsenal’s return to England on Sunday.
Though the former Southampton youngster has frustrated the Gunners propping up the bar at times, the idea of losing a young Englishman of such talent has concerned them, especially to such a rival.
