After a pretty slow start to the season, the Arsenal fans in the Transfer Tavern have been in lighter moods of late.
The Gunners have built up somewhat of a head of speed in the Premier League after winning three games on the bounce, though, in typical fashion, the fans have been met with worrying reports.
According to Spanish paper Sport, Barcelona are ready to reignite their interest in Spanish defender Hector Bellerin.
The La Roja speedster has emerged as one of the most promising defensive prospects in Europe over the last season or so, after breaking into the Gunners’ first-team.
With that in mind, the Blaugrana are reportedly ready to interrupt any negotiations he may have with the Premier League giants about extending his deal.
After Dani Alves left the Camp Nou over the course of the summer, the La Liga champions are believed to have identified the 21-year-old as his replacement.
He started his career with the Catalan juggernauts, before leaving to North London as a teenager.
It is a situation akin to that of Cesc Fabregas’ a number of years ago, who was ultimately tempted by a move back to his boyhood club.
For the Arsenal fans propping up the bar, these are nervy times in regards to Bellerin.
How important is Bellerin to Arsenal’s plans going forward? Let us know below…
