The Arsenal fans in the Transfer Tavern have been piling praise onto 17-year-old Emile Smith-Rowe after he won, and scored, a penalty following a superb jinking run against Blackpool in the club’s 5-0, propelling them into the FA Youth Cup Final. Arsenal advanced past Blackpool 7-2 on aggregate and the fans can’t wait to see their latest young prodigy light up the final.

Arsenal Football Club has been a very sour place this season. The club is enduring their worst Premier League campaign under Arsene Wenger as they 6th in the table, six points behind Chelsea and only two points clear of Burnley, who aim to be the first club to break the ceiling into the top six. The Europa League is Wenger’s only viable escape route at the moment, winning the competition would provide them with automatic entry into the Champions League for next season after they missed out this year.
Barring the Europa League, the only other thing the Arsenal fans have to be proud of is their youth stars. Reiss Nelson, Ainsley Maitland-Niles, Joseph Willock and Eddie Nketiah have all made their Arsenal breakthroughs this season and have impressed the fans when given opportunities. Now though, the fans will be looking to 17-year-old Emile Smith-Rowe to be the next young breakthrough after his superb performance against Blackpool as lifted him into the FA Yout Cup final and into the spotlight.
