Club official in London with Arsenal said to have reacted positively to potential deal

With the Arsenal fans in the Transfer Tavern waxing poetic about their title chances next season, many of our north London locals are hoping Arsene Wenger trims some of the fat from the first-team squad.

Indeed, the Gunners’ ranks look rather swollen right now and the punters propping up the bar hope Le Prof can make some room in the squad to bring some players in. With that in mind, reports emanating out of Turkey have proved rather interesting.

According to FotosporSuper Lig giants Galatasaray are ready to open talks about a deal to bring Mohamed Elneny to Istanbul this summer. Indeed, sporting director Cenk Ergun has reportedly been over in London to discuss a move for the Egyptian international.

The midfielder apparently recently rejected a move to Leicester City, though the Emirates giants are said to have responded positively to the idea of him leaving.

While the former FC Basel man is a popular figure amongst the Arsenal fans in the Tavern, the idea of selling him on in order to put those funds towards another big signing has proved an interesting one this evening.
