Colossal Arsenal bid expected tomorrow as Wenger gears up for season opener

Though Gabriel has never been looked upon as Tony Adams incarnate by the Arsenal fans in the Transfer Tavern, our North London locals were rocked last night.

Watching the Brazilian fall to an injury prior to the Gunners’ season opener against Liverpool, the club is now left without a fit centre-half in the buildup for the new season.

With that in mind, notorious journalist Emanuele Giulianelli has some pretty good new for our North London locals.

He claims that the club WILL bid for World Cup winning defender Shkodran Mustafi tomorrow after identifying the Valencia star as a top target.

A former Everton trainee, the 24-year old is believed to have a £50m buyout clause with Los Che, though surely Arsene Wenger will be trying to land him on a cheaper deal than that.

One of the most formidable defenders in La Liga, he could soon become the most expensive defender in the club’s history.

Will Mustafi improve Arsenal? Is it imperative they sign him before Liverpool? Let us know below…
