Arsenal are in a transitional period under new boss Unai Emery and it will take time for everything to start ticking under the former PSG manager.
The Gunners aren’t expected to be at their best yet but signs have been promising under Unai Emery, especially with their attackers in such fine form. The goals will hopefully continue because the main aim for the manager now will be to find a solution to their leakage problems, that haven’t stopped even after spending in the summer.
It seems January will be the ideal time for Arsenal to find another top quality centre-back and preferably one that could be around the Emirates for a very long time. That player is Ruben Dias, a 21-year-old centre-back who plays for Portuguese giants Benfica.
Dias, who is valued at £19.8 million on Transfermarkt, has played every minute so far this season at the heart of defence for Benfica despite being only 21-years-old. Dias is a very gifted centre-back that would be a fitting player to sign at Arsenal, seeing as they love investing in young talent and defensively, they’re most vulnerable.
Typically the youngster is a more modern-day defender, who likes to pass the ball around the back and can get forward when needed. Arsenal don’t have anyone in defence with the immense potential that Ruben Dias possesses, that’s why it’s essential they secure his services before the giants of world football come in for him.
He has grown up with Benfica and come through the ranks dan he is now turning into a blossoming success story. Arsenal would do extremely well to sign him but having identified a centre-back as their major weakness, Dias has to be signed at all costs.
