The Arsenal fans in the Transfer Tavern are furious they’re not involved in the Champions League tonight.
Indeed, the reality finally struck home this evening as the likes of Manchester City, Manchester United and Chelsea line up for action as the European elite kick off this season’s campaign.
However, that’s not stopped the Arsenal faithful taking to Twitter tonight as they look in the action.
Though Edinson Cavani scored at Parkhead this evening, the Uruguayan has been the butt of a few jokes from Gunners fans. Just before Kylian Mbappe scored, the PSG star completely missed a volley and hit only air with a miss kick.
That has drawn comparisons, amongst Arsenal fans, to Emirates star Danny Welbeck, who did the exact same thing recently.
Arsenal fans are no strangers to Cavani, with the former Napoli man strongly linked with a move to Arsene Wenger’s side over the years, so there must be a sense of enjoyment for the otherwise rather upset fans.
With that in mind, here’s a look at how Twitter compared the two.

Cavani is so out of place in an elite frontline. Don't let his pen confuse you, Welbeck esque performance from him tonight.

Nice dummy from cavani. Welbeck must be proud.
