Celtic have been thrown into a minor panic following the premature departure of Brendan Rodgers, and we have no doubt Premier League clubs will be looking to take advantage of the temporary upheaval to tempt away some of their most prized talent.

According to the Scottish Sun, the much-revered full-back Kieran Tierney is one of these chosen men, with Arsenal readying a £25m summer raid for the Scotland international.

The interest in Tierney is nothing new. He’s been on the shopping list of some of the major English clubs for some time now, including the likes of Everton, who were close to moving for the player last year before opting for Lucas Digne, and for good reason.

The youngster has been representing Celtic at the top level for four years now since being handed his debut by former boss Ronny Deila, and despite being under a mammoth contract keeping him at the club until 2023, there’s every chance Arsenal could break Celtic’s transfer record to bring him to the Emirates.

Tierney would be a quality acquisition to replace the ageing Nacho Monreal and compete with Sead Kolasinac – but who else should Arsenal recruit to bump their chances of Premier League success next campaign?

James Rodriguez

With the departure of Aaron Ramsey pending, Arsenal need to look at signing another creative midfielder, and who better than James Rodriguez?

The Colombian is currently serving a two-year loan spell at Bayern Munich after falling out of favour at his parent club Real Madrid and is playing pretty well.

What’s more, according to Football365.com, Bayern’s sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic has stated that the club are undecided on the player’s future and are waiting to see how performs in the second half of the season to decide whether they’ll take up the option to sign him permanently.

“We will look at the second half of the season and we will draw the right conclusions,” Salihamidzic said.

This is a perfect opportunity for Arsenal to act on Bayern’s indecisiveness.

We all know how the player's qualities, and there’s no one in the current line-up that comes close.

Daniele Rugani

Despite being signed to address Arsenal’s defensive woes, Sokratis has not done enough to prevent them from becoming one of the leakiest sides in the top half of the table.

Rugani, who is currently playing in Italy for Turin giants Juventus, could well be the answer.

The young centre-back has developed alongside some of the most accomplished and experienced defenders in the world in Chiellini and Bonucci and would almost definitely hit the ground running if he joined alongside Tierney.

Express Sport reported that he was one of the players the Gunners were seriously considering approaching during the January window and we have no doubt they’ll be returning come summer.
