Emery landing £8.1m-rated man would finally rid Arsenal of the awful Petr Cech

Arsenal fans all around the Transfer Tavern are optimistic in thinking that Unai Emery could do a brilliant job for their beloved club, should he be given appropriate resources and funds to transform his team.

Arsenal of hopeful of doing enough in the transfer market in order to challenge for the top four paces once again, having missed out for the second season in a row. It will be a very tricky task for Unai Emery but if he gets what he needs to improve the team, Arsenal may just bounce back inspired under a new man. One of their big problems this season has been in goal with both David Ospina and Petr Cech making mistakes, so our punters deem it necessary for the club to launch a bid for Barcelona’s Jasper Cillessen, who is valued at £8.1 million on Transfermarkt.

The Dutchman in his 11 appearances this season only conceded three goals, keeping 8 clean-sheets for his team. Yes, Barcelona’s defence is very good and, yes, he played against easier opponents but even so that record alone proves he is a solid ‘keeper who would be an improvement on both Ospina and Cech.

Indeed, Cillessen is 29-years-old and that might seem oldish for an outfit player but as a goalkeeper that is a good age with years ahead of him to blossom at the Emirates, should he move.

It would be hard to leave Barcelona considering the amount of success they get every year but if he ever wants to play week in, week out, a move to Arsenal is the right one in his career to prove he just wants to play football rather than play the odd games.
