Emery should make Mourinho rue £40.5m-rated transfer mistake with clever Arsenal swoop

The Arsenal fans in and around the Transfer Tavern are eager for the team to arrive back out onto the Emirates pitch and show what they can really do next season under Unai Emery.

With the majority of the squad reporting for pre-season duty, now will be the best time for the new boss to establish his teams’ need ahead of the new campaign and our punters are hoping that the former PSG manager identifies a winger capable of bringing the excitement single-handedly back to the Emirates. Having failed at Manchester United, some are keen for the Gunners to give Memphis Depay, (who is valued at £40.5 million on Transfermarkt) another chance in the Premier League.

The Dutchman arrived at Old Trafford as a player who many believed would become the new Cristiano Ronaldo but Depay failed to get himself in amongst the team and was consequently sold to Lyon last year. The move, on their hand, has been nothing but a success as the 24-year-old has become one of the best players in Ligue 1, demonstrating his talent this season by scoring 19 goals and creating 13 assists in Ligue 1.

The dynamic winger has expressed his skills and ability to the French league and has some interest around him once again. Arsenal could easily try and bring him to London as he will be determined to prove the English doubters wrong about his ability and despite his move to the Red Devils failing, his best ability could be shown in an Arsenal shirt under Unai Emery.

Is this a risky move or one Arsenal should consider… Let us know!
